The complete highlight of 2020 was this session. The dream for this sat in my heart for over a year... the mood board just floating in my brain. When our first lockdown happened I put a few things in motion... and working together with Nancy from MADE Beauty Co and Des from Willow Creek the ideas started to become tangible. This is the story of that day... told by photo... and behind the scenes shots taken with my phone.
This was no small endeavour. A LOT of people doing things they're passionate about and going above and beyond to create the most stunning date night our prairies have ever seen.
PREPARATION
The day began with an early morning coffee and scouting the site with Des. There were at least 20 locations we wanted to shoot, but settled on our five favourites. The plan? We'd start with a romantic dinner and end with a cozy bonfire.
Everyone spent the afternoon prepping at my home which, by the way, was very much still under construction. Meanwhile, Des (Willow Creek), Kristina (Bloom Petals) and Chef Ryan prepared the site. It was awe inspiring to see the work of this team when we arrived at 6pm.
